DESCRIPTIONS & PRICES

"Perseverance"

A picture of steadfastness, patience, and courage...this Live Oak has weathered centuries of good times and bad, wars and peace, prosperity and poverty...only to keep looking up, and drawing its strength from the sun above, and the earth below.

It is a lesson for me to keep going forward, to not give up, and to not lose hope.  "Perseverance" is a trait I would like to cultivate in my own life, along with the courage that undergirds it.

"I'll Be Seeing You"

This scene was painted in memory of our dear friends, John & Phyllis Stone, who, at the time of this painting, were in the process of transitioning out of this temporary world, into the eternal, to be forever in the presence of our beloved, living Lord.  Now, to see what real life is all about!...

"I'll be seeing you, in all the old familiar places,"....until I come to where you are, and see you "in the now" again.  I'll be seeing you,.....

Painted from a photo taken by my friend and surrogate niece, Rebecca deRosset.  I am the grateful beneficiary of her wonderful photography.  Thank you, Rebecca!

“Majestic”

This fella was painted last time I visited Montana. My son John has been attending school there for the past five years, and I have had opportunities to go out there, and to paint with my favorite studio artist, Kara Tripp, in Bozeman. As John’s time is drawing to an end there, so is my ability to visit this beautiful place. This painting reminds me of all my wonderful memories from there, and of painting with Kara. Thank you, Johnny, for giving me your bed when I would come visit, (this painting’s for you!!!)…And thank you, Kara, for teaching me so much! you set the bar high enough that I will never reach it, but I will never stop trying…

In a season of great personal anguish, I found the “Deep” that calls to deep.

For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior….Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you…” (Isaiah 43:2-4)
